Yesterday I read Ning’s new pricing announcement. Frankly I think it’s really fair. And here’s my point…

I bet Ning had a good idea what they were going to do before they announced this. From what I can tell, some of my actual costs will go down and my services will go up – cool!

For about $20/mo I will get more now than I did before, and then some… I wonder how many people fled Ning to other platforms because they were concerned about the impending “price hike”.

I know I almost ditched them.

Either way, it looks like their new approach will work out well. Sure there will be some complainers who wanted a free ride, but get real. A quality solution for nothing? Not likely.

Well done Ning, I hope this gives you the renewed energy to make your platform even better.
