important messageWhich is better: a 100% custom website or a customized “stock” solution? I’d vote for the customized stock solution over the 100% custom solution any day. And here’s why…

I have a strong aversion to Version 1 code installs. I’d rather version 2, and 3 is better - 4.5 is better still. 100% custom coding is always V1 and first generation code sucks. It’s buggy. It’s usually incomplete. It has user interface issues. The error trapping is rubbish. It locks up. It crashes. Want proof?

Blog eBookIt doesn’t matter how well it’s written, not everyone wants to “curl up with a good blog,” some prefer a more traditional model when it comes to reading.

Blogs are brilliant for many things, but sometimes it’s just nice to read (and study) in a more familiar format using regular sized pages of easy-to-read 12 point black text on a crisp white page (with a few colourful pictures for good measure.)

Well here it is, Your FREE Web 2.0 Manual…

SEO Technology Environments are a fusion of many things: keyword analysis market research, user interface design, clean coding, SEO copywriting, technology knowledge, inter-personal management skills, and a constant watch on the ever evolving landscape that is SEO and Internet Marketing.

Being found online and then getting noticed is not quite as easy as some people would have you believe. - and it’s not “a few hundred bucks,” nor is it something that happens overnight - it takes time. And a few years ago I began developing a system to do just that, I called it TIME ™ - the Tactical Internet Marketing Environment.

And since I hadn’t been on Twitter today I had some catching up to do (if you want to see what I was Tweeting about you can follow me here.)

social mediaOn May 15, 2008 I attended the Interactive Marketing Conference hosted by InfoPresse - the subject was Social Media. The event included such luminaries as Chris Anderson, Bryan Segal, Paul Gillin and a panel of experts including Jesse Hirsh, Dawna Henderson, David Jones, Michael Kasprow and Keith McArthur.

I took pages of notes as each presenter addressed the room and shared their insights, views and opinions. Bottom line, the event was well run and worth attending. So for those of you who followed the day on Twitter (yes, I was tweeting from the conference) here are a few key facts I noted during the day:
