Mobile Email Woes… What Went Wrong?

According to Jordan Ayan, CEO of SubscriberMail, at least half of corporate email administrators turn off images on incoming emails. And according to Marketing Sherpa, 64% of key decision makers read their email on a mobile device, so unless they’re using an iPhone the majority will not get images and the email will be garbled with meaningless HTML code. Basically your email looks terrible! (Hint, this was why I dumped my BlackBerry and moved to iPhone.)
So what’s the solution?
Simple - use text only or HTML ‘light.’ If you market to mobile business people, these trends point to short, plain-text messages for the best way to get your message delivered properly. Consider an email redesign, it might be the smartest email marketing move you’ve made all day…
